Pro Kabaddi 2018 Match 42: Patna Pirates versus Bengaluru Bulls
The 42nd match of Pro Kabaddi 2018 was fought between Patna Pirates and the Bengaluru Bulls. The Patna Pirates had lost to the Telegu Titans in their last match. They were on the brink of a 4th consecutive loss on their home turf. They truly wanted to prove themselves. On the other side, Bengaluru Bulls had Pawan Sehrawat with them, who has a 97 per cent raid strike rates against Pradeep Narwal, the star of the Pirates. The Bulls have not been able to beat the Pirates since season 2. But this Pro Kabaddi 2018 match was truly intense.
Pardeep Narwal, who is Patna Pirate’s lead raider opened his account in the very 1st raid of the match. But the Bengaluru Bulls sent Pardeep on the bench in his very next raid. Pawan, the star raider from Bengaluru Bulls took 2 points on Kuldeep and Ravinder. This brought the score to 2-4, in favour of the Bulls.
Patna Pirates’ defence was performing really well in this match. This could be seen how Vikas Kale tackled Pawan during his raid. The score was levelled at 4 – all.
With just 3 minutes remaining on the clock before half time, the substitute Sumit was tackled the Pirates. This inflicted the 1st all-out of the night for Bengaluru Bulls. It gave away 3 points to the home team. The scoreboard read 18-17, in favour of the home side.
After the half time, Pawan Sherawat took some points for his team. In his third raid, he jumped up to a height of 6.5 feet to take a point. He got a Super-10 for himself.
Pradeep was not able to give his 100 per cent. Kuldeep also got a green card. However, they still managed to somehow maintain a score difference of 3 points. But, all of a sudden, Bengaluru Bulls scored 11 points in just 5 minutes.
